Lockhart Releases Christmas Album

Dec. 9, 2012 (Los Angeles) - Virgin Records today shipped more than 1 million copies of 'Blake Lockhart - Merry Christmas' to record stores worldwide. The first 1 million copies are personally signed by Lockhart and also come with a free Sham-Wow.
The Christmas album contains a dozen tradtional songs that Lockhart recorded over an afternoon. Tracks include:
I'm Dreaming of a Betty White Christmas
Jingle These Balls
Silent Night ('Cause Dad's Passed Out)
Christmas: What Am I Getting?
Tryptophan in Turkey Makes Me Tired
Virgin CEO Richard Branson says the project was a long time coming as Lockhart is notoriously difficult to work with. But the high-flying Branson said it was "high on his bucket list" to work with the word genius, and so he paid Lockhart a rumoured seven-figure advance.
"I hope this Christmas album plays in every home this holiday season," Branson said. "It really is a gift to the entire world."
When asked for comment on the project, Lockhart hitched at his pants and said, "I told them I can't sing a note to save my life, but they said it don't matter. None of the top selling artists can sing these days. In fact, the business looks down on you if you can sing and write at the same time. They just want a nice little butt, and that I can give them in spades. Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la."

Thanks for making my week Blake. The second I saw this on my “Blake is my Hero” app on my Iphone I ran to the store to get the album. Not only did I want a signed copy (duh! That means you touched it!) but I obviously wanted to get the free Sham-Wow. Like seriously, those things are f-ing phenomenal. I would also like to point out that Jingle These Balls really makes the album. Most people will probably be both disgusted and insanely offended by it but I’m not Blake. Nope! Not me! I think the album is truly a masterpiece…..You’re a masterpiece Blake…..You put your pants on every day, just like everyone else. The only difference is that you make gold records. So dreamy…mmmmm
